Elders the Bible describes multitudes of beings that have intrigued a lot of
people for years who are the 24 Elders
beyond our understanding and perception lies a magnificent throne room in heaven
radiant with Divine Light and power this place is extraordinary it’s where the
most powerful being in the universe lives John’s Journey to the island of
Patmos and his subsequent Visions including that of the 24 Elders is one
of the most intriguing episodes in the Bible amidst the wonders of the
supernatural realm a particular presence stands out a circle of 24 elders robed
in white crowned with gold sitting on Thrones encompassing the main Throne who
are these figures why are they here after addressing the seven churches
suddenly John found himself in the very throne room of God he saw God Seated on
a throne there looking like precious gemstones surrounding this Throne were
24 other Thrones and on these Throne sat 24 Elders these Elders wore white robes
with golden crowns on their heads the elders along with the four living
creatures around the throne fell before God casting their crowns before him and
declaring you are worthy O Lord to receive glory and honor and power for
you created all things and by your will they exist and were created Revelation
1 there is no place in the Book of Revelation where the 24 Elders
identities are laid out in detail on the other hand it is highly likely that they
are representatives of the church some people believe that they are Angelic
beings however this is highly unlikely to be the case it is clear that they
Reign alongside Christ because of the fact that they are seated on Thrones it
is proclaimed again and over again that the church rules and reigns with Christ
the Greek word translated as Elders in this context is never used to refer to
Angels it is exclusively used to refer to men who have reached a certain age
and are capable of ruling the church since Angels do not age the term Elder
cannot be attributed to them although angels can be seen wearing white the
color white is more frequently associated with Believers because it represents the righteousness of Christ
that is ascribed to us at Salvation the elders are wearing golden
crowns which indicates that they are not angels angels are never given crowns and
there is no evidence of them ever wearing them the cherubim living creatures serve as a motivation for the
24 Elders to engage in worship because the cherubim worship God at all hours of
the day and night the elders do as well Elders are seen as representatives of
God’s people particularly in the Old Testament they are adorned with the
crowns of Victory and have moved on to the location that their redeemer has
prepared for them number two two the orphy in the Old Testament angels are
referenced 108 times in the book of Exodus Moses
also encountered Angels during the Wilderness wandering what are the
oronym the term ofm in ancient Hebrew refers to Wheels but of particular
interest are the wheels of the Throne of god mentioned in ezekiel’s Vision God
chooses to open the Heavens in front of ezekiel’s temporalized the description
of ezekiel’s inaugural vision is one of the most difficult passages to translate
in the whole Old Testament Ezekiel first tells where he was when he saw the
vision he tried to put into words something that couldn’t be explained clearly he used similes to describe it
comparing it to other things in order to give an idea of what it was like as
Ezekiel notices a forboding dark cloud of lightning and fire approaching from
the north within the cloud there are four lighted beings that shine brightly
before witnessing the orphy Ezekiel Saw creatures that were later identified as
cherubim after seeing the cherubim Ezekiel Saw the wheels like the chariot
wheels the best object for imagining what Ezekiel Saw is a
gyroscope Ezekiel was describing something that could move in any
direction without needing to turn keep in mind that Ezekiel was describing the
Indescribable now as I looked at the living beings behold there was one wheel
on the ground beside the living beings for each of the four of them the
appearance of the wheel and their workmanship was like sparkling topaz and
all four of them had the same form their appearance and workmanship being as if
one wheel were within another whenever they moved they moved in any of their
four directions without turning as they moved as for their rims they were high
and awesome and the rims of all four of them were covered with eyes all around
whenever the living beings moved the wheels moved with them and whenever the living beings Rose from the earth the
wheels Rose also wherever the spirit was about to go they would go in that
direction and the wheels Rose just as they did for the spirit of the living
beings was in the wheels whenever those went they went and whenever those
stopped they stopped and whenever those Rose from the earth the wheels Rose just
as they did for the spirit of the living beings was in the wheels
Ezekiel continued to describe the constant interaction between the wheels
and the cherubim wherever the cherubim went the wheels went he reported that
the spirit of God manifested in all that was happening Ezekiel was also seeing
God’s omniscience the multiple eyes he saw represented God’s complete awareness he
sees and knows everything this great book begins with a vision Ezekiel
receives a revelation from God of four Angelic figures in this Vision God calls
the prophet to be his spokesman and Watchmen to the Hebrew Exiles this
vision is the first of four in the book it can be challenging to visualize what
Ezekiel Saw or expressed in this passage the sense is of excellent knowledge and
intelligence ofanim also mentioned similarly in Ezekiel 10 Ezekiel was
meant to understand that God’s Chariot or Chariot Throne was on the move the
image seems bizarre to the modern reader but one must remember that this is a
Visionary experience and surrealistic features May overwhelm
realism number three the Behemoth imagine a fearsome 7 ton
African an elephant charging towards you with its trunk outstretched eyes dilated
and massive post likee legs pounding the Earth there is nothing between you and
him but flat grass and your heart is beating wildly how do you escape what do
you do did you know animals far more fearsome and mighty than African
elephants once roamed the Earth the behemoth we see this great beast in the
Book of Job it all started with a wealthy man named job residing in us
with his extended family and vast flocks he is blameless and upright always
striving to live a moral life he had a very disciplined relationship with God
God extols job’s virtues to Satan but Satan counters that job is only right I
because God has lavished him with favor Satan dares God that if given the
approval to inflict suffering job will change and curse God God allows Satan to
torment job to test this bold claim yet he stops Satan from taking job’s life
job receives four reports in one day each notifying him his sheep servants
and 10 children have all died due to thieving Invaders or natural
disasters amid his suffering job rips his clothes and shaves his head but in
his prayers he continues to praise God Satan reappears in heaven and God gives
him yet another chance to prove job’s worth by testing him job curses his
birthday comparing life and death to light and darkness he wishes that he had
never been born and that his birth had been veiled by Darkness feeling that
life just adds to his Agony he wonders why God assesses People based on their
actions when God can quickly amend or pardon their actions job is perplexed
about how a human being May fully satisfy God’s justice given that God’s
ways are mysterious and Beyond human comprehension job is driven to his
Breaking Point by the ordeal and as a result he becomes resentful anxious and
terrified he laments the Injustice that God lets evil people thrive while he and
many other honest people suffer job wants to face God and protest but cannot
physically find God he thinks wisdom is hidden from Humanity but resolves to
pursue it by fearing God and avoiding evil in the end God decided to intervene
in 36 instances job prayed to God to have a conversation with him his wish
has been granted at this point both occasions on which God communicates with
job occur in the middle of a storm there is much humor in the way that God
addresses him God reminds job that he is the creator of everything he runs
through his excellent activity of creating and sustaining the world asking
job whether he could match this work he finishes by asking whether job is able
to judge telling him that it is impertinent for job to believe that God
should explain himself to him job is made to feel very small eventually job
replies I am unworthy how can I reply to you I put my hand over my mouth I spoke
once but have no answer twice but I will say no more in the second round God doesn’t talk
about himself as Creator but about his creatures the discourse is full of humor
once more he asks job for his thoughts on the Behemoth as though these
Fantastic Beasts hold the answers to Life’s significant issues job
15-9 behold Behemoth which I made as well as you he eats grass like an ox
behold his strength in his waist and his power in the muscles of his belly he
hangs his tail like a cedar the tendons of his thighs are knit together his
bones are tubes of bronze his limbs are like bars of iron he is the first of the
ways of God let his maker bring his sword near previously the focer was more on
the mystery of the animal creation however for now the focus has shifted to
the fear and yet the magnificence of God’s creations the identity of the
Behemoth the Behemoth is one of a handful of Bible creatures that
historians have argued about for quite a while the scholarly Community is still
trying to come to a consensus on many aspects of this creature but they do know two things he was enormous and had
a belly button the evidence of a belly button shows that it is not an animal that lays eggs
we read he eats grass like an ox his power is in his stomach
muscles God seems to take pleasure in describing the Marvel of this
extraordinary creature pointing out its size appetite and behaviors along the
way the picture is clear if job cannot contend with his fellow creature how
could he ever contend with the God who created the Behemoth the Hebrew word behemoth has
the same form as the plural of the Hebrew noun beema meaning Beast is it
possible that such a beast used to roam the Earth with people was Behemoth The
Hippopotamus many people think God had in mind what we would call The
Hippopotamus one of the world’s largest most powerful and most dangerous land
creatures the hippopotamus was definitely known in biblical times
particularly in Egypt the Romans reduced their population due to the harm they
caused the crops even though it’s called a river horse the hippopotamus is more
closely related to pigs than horses the gaping jaws of the hippo provide a
compelling picture or was Behemoth an elephant according to most Bible apologists
Behemoth in Hebrew refers to a four-legged Beast which they believe to
be an elephant those who favor hippopotamuses do so because job
23 talks about the behemoth’s huge mouth drinking up the gushing Jordan
River based on verse 19 it seems that the creature described in job’s story
was too large for the people living during his time to defeat these
descriptions cannot be attributed to any present-day animals throughout recorded
history humans have hunted and killed elephants and domesticated them for various purposes such as work and
warfare for thousands of years when the Book of Job described the Behemoth as
the chief of the ways of God so powerful that only he that made him can make his
sword to approach unto him it was no exaggeration number four the
Leviathan compared to the terrifying and unconquerable power of the Leviathan
man’s pride and Grandeur were nothing to write home about how much more humble is
man in God’s presence and that’s the point neither job nor anyone else has
the right to criticize God’s work the Leviathan is a large aquatic creature of
some kind the Bible describes it as a fearsome Beast with monstrous ferocity
and great power the Hebrew word for Leviathan has the root meaning of coiled
or Twisted Isaiah 21 speaks of the
Leviathan Isaiah 21 on that day the Lord will punish
Leviathan The fleeing serpent with his Fierce and Great and Mighty sword even
Leviathan The Twisted Serpent and he will kill the dragon who lives in the
sea whatever this monster of the sea is or was its strength and wild nature were
well known the beasts in the sea glorify God the Old Testament contains several
mentions of the Leviathan according to most of these passages the Leviathan is
a real creature creature that people knew of although they kept their distance and only knew of it by
reputation rather than sight in Psalm 10 25- 26 God is praised as the one
who created the habitat for the Leviathan in order to combat job’s
inflated image of himself God desired to demonstrate to this man how small he was
in the overall scheme of things by using job as an example job 41 gives the most detail
about Leviathan as an actual sea creature in that chapter God describes
Leviathan emphasizing the animals size strength and viciousness Job 4 1 to5 New American
Standard Bible can you drag out Leviathan with a fish hook and press
down his tongue with a rope can you put a rope in his nose and Pierce his jaw
with a hook will he make many pleas to you or will he speak to you gentle words
will he make a covenant with you will you take him as a servant forever will
you play with him as a bird and tie him down for your young girls this creature
was first mentioned in job 8 May those curse it who curse the day
who are prepared to disturb Leviathan in that context job refers to
how Sailors and fishermen would curse the menacing creature known as Leviathan
similarly with intense emotion job cursed the day he was born usually a
leviathan is considered to be a mythical sea monster or dragon that terrorizes
Sailors and fishermen yet in the context of job 41 God does not seem to to
consider Leviathan to be mythical at all there are differing opinions regarding
the description of Leviathan some suggest that it could be an ancient dinosaur similar to a dragon that may
have survived until the time of job or remained in the memory of humanity
serving as an example for God to refer to on the other hand some believe that
Leviathan is simply a powerful crocodile in this context the purpose of God
providing job with this account of Leviathan is to demonstrate to job how
helpless he is in the face of this creature there is nothing that job can do to stop this powerful creature job
has no chance number five the
cherubim the cherubim are a group of celestial beings created by God they are
the first of the Angelic hierarchy to appear in the Bible immediately following Adam and Eve’s Fall From Grace
Genesis 3 records the events in the Garden of Eden having violated God’s
commandment not to partake of the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil it would have been likely for Adam and Eve
to reach out their hands and take also of the tree of life and eat and live
forever as a result they were forced to live their Earthly Paradise but what
would have stopped Adam from going back to the garden and disobeying God again
the answer is given in this verse Genesis
4 so God drove the man out and at the east of the Garden of Eden he
permanently stationed the cherubim and the sword with the flashing blade which turned round and round in every
direction to protect and guard the way entrance access to the Tree of Life
from those two sources in the Bible it appears as though that cherubim’s major
responsibility may be to declare man’s sinfulness and protect the presence of
God from sinful men as much as Adam yearned to return to the Garden of Eden
the cherubim reminded him that he had broken God’s law the high priest of
Israel would be allowed into the holy of holies once a year to gaze upon the
Mercy Seat I’m sure he must have felt on each occasion I don’t belong here in the Holy
presence of God for I am a sinner cherubim are real and Powerful
beings however the cherubim in the Bible were often representative of heavenly
things they were integrated into the design of the Ark of the Covenant and
the Tabernacle at God’s command the Cherub shown in Ezekiel 10 as having not
only wings and hands but also being full of Eyes encompassed by Wheels within
Wheels however Ezekiel also paints a gloomy tone in chapter 10 and the
cherubim provides a hint the cherubim did more than protect God’s Most Holy
place from those who had no right to be there they also assured the high
priest’s right to enter the holy place with blood as the people’s mediator with
God cherubim will not refuse the humblest Christian access to the throne
they assure us that we can come boldly because of Christ’s work on the cross
the veil in the temple has been rent The Morning Star the book of Isaiah 14 introduces us
to a being known as Lucifer Lucifer literally means the the one who delivers
light in Latin the word is translated as Dawn star in Hebrew Lucifer was depicted
as a brilliant shining and wonderful deity in all languages number six
melchisedek now we discuss the only human on our list there is no character
in the Bible that is more mysterious than the person of melchisedek when we first meet him he is
living in the time of Abraham even the name itself melchisedek carries with it
an air of mystery he makes a quiet entrance into the cannon of scripture
who is he why is there much discussion about him he is mentioned in both the
Old and New Testaments why our epic Story begins with a man called
Abraham the true meaning of his name many of us are unfamiliar with how names
operate in Hebrew and the Bible names in the Bible are not only descriptive they
also carry Authority in them for example the name God gave to Adam meant of the
Earth this described what Adam was produced from a name can sometimes
relate to the nominees role in the biblical narrative as in the case of nabal a foolish man whose name means
fool names in the Bible can represent human hopes and divine Revelations or are used
to illustrate prophecies so what does the name mized mean the name mzc has a
significant meaning in Hebrews 2 it means king of righteousness or
the king is righteous this name implies that the person with this name is just and fair
in his dealings it is a fitting name for a ruler or leader who upholds Justice
and righteousness in his kingdom melchisedek is used to explain the
mysteries of Jesus just as melchisedec is the king of Peace Jesus is also the
king of Peace in Isaiah’s prophecy about the coming Messiah he says the second
piece of information about melchisedek that can be discovered in Genesis 14
that he presented Abraham with Bread and Wine priest of the most high God Genesis
18 tells us that he was a priest of God most high according to the holy
scriptures there is only one God who is most high this title belongs to The God
Who Abraham worshiped he alone ruled over all gods and was the one to whom
all gods were to bow to their knees the priesthood that melchisedek held came
before the priesthood that Aaron and the Levites held melchisedek blesses Abraham
by God most high melchisedek acknowledged in Genesis 1 20 that the
most high God had given Abraham the capacity to defeat Abraham’s foes the
order and mystery of mzc is used to explain Jesus the man that had no
beginning and no end the interesting insight into melchisedek is that he is
never given a beginning or an end this priesthood of melchisedek was a
priesthood that would continue until the end of time melchisedek in the New
Testament the reference to melchisedek in the New Testament is in Hebrews this
chapter draws comparisons between the priesthood of the Old Testament and the
priesthood that the Lord Jesus holds now Hebrews 20 where Jesus has entered as
a forerunner for us having become a high priest forever according to the order of
melchisedek the tithe to malized Hebrews 7 provides us with more
information about melchisedek than any other passage in the Bible the writer
Narrows our Focus to to a specific incident during Abraham and melchisedek
encounter Hebrews 4 for this melchisedek king of Salem
priest of the most high God met Abraham as he returned from the slaughter of the
Kings and blessed him and Abraham gave him a tenth of all the spoil he is first
of all by the translation of his name king of righteousness and and then he is
also king of Salem which means king of peace without any Accord of father or
mother nor ancestrial line without any record of beginning of days birth nor
ending of Life death but having been made like the Son of God he remains a
priest without interruption and without successor now pause and consider how
great this man was to whom Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth of the
spoils Abraham is considered to be the father of the Israelites the people of
God held him in high regard because of his role in spite of this Abraham
submitted to malized de’s Authority and gave him a tenth of the plunder from the
battle as great as Abraham was he bowed the knee to
melchisedek his genealogy we learn in verse three that melchisedek was without a father mother
or genealogy having neither beginning of days nor end of life you should also
take note of the fact that melkisedek resembled the Son of God this is a very
significant point to make it demonstrates to us that he is a type of
an even greater priest the Lord Jesus his city the city of peace
prophetically pictured in Lord Jesus’s work that brought us peace Abraham demonstrated his
acceptance of melchisedec’s priesthood by presenting the tenth of all that he
had to God it is clear from verses 9 and 10 that Abraham was a type of the future
levitical priesthood that is about to be established number seven the Death
Angel The Death Angel we may have heard of the angel of death but what about a
death angel is there a distinction between the two we see this chapter
appear in Exodus for those knowledgeable about the angel of death because the
Egyptians declined to set free the enslaved Israelites God sent several
plagues upon them the worst of which was the last plague the last plague involves
the angel of death Exodus 1 1-2 then the Lord said to Moses I will
bring yet one more plague on pharaoh and on Egypt after that he will let you go
when he lets you go he will most certainly drive you out of here completely speak so that all of the
people of Israel may hear and tell every man to ask from his neighbor and every
woman to ask from her neighbor articles of silver and articles of
gold Moses returned to the Royal Chambers for one last interview with the
King Exodus 1 4 to5 then Moses said thus says the Lord
at midnight I am going out into the midst of Egypt and all the firstborn in
the land The Pride hope and joy of Egypt shall die from the first born of pharaoh
who sits on his throne to the first born of the slave go who is behind the hand
Mill and all the firstborn of cattle as well there had been wars in the past and
there would be wars in the future Egypt had just experienced nine plagues and
more national disasters were on the way but there would never be another shock
wave of grief like this one as in previous disasters the Hebrew population
would be spared there will be an exodus I am going to visit Egypt God said
tonight I will invade every home where there is no blood on the door but There
Will Be Blood on my people’s doorways and they will be spared that night history was made
because the people believed God’s man and followed God’s plan as a result the
Lord told them Pharaoh refused to comply as a result he exposed himself and his
to the Lord’s wrath the night nobody slept Exodus 1
29-30 now it happened at midnight that the Lord struck every firstborn in the
land of Egypt from the firstborn of pharaoh who sat on his throne to the
firstborn of the prisoner who was in the dungeon and all the firstborn of the cattle Pharaoh got up in the night he
and all his servants and all the Egyptians and there was a great Cry Of
Heartache and sorrow in Egypt for there was no house where there was not someone
dead he keeps his word the destroying Angel overlooked no one who wasn’t
prepared not even the king the slimy Fingers of Death plagued like an awful
Affliction but it didn’t touch one of God’s people the word of God tells us
there wasn’t a residence in EG Egypt where someone had not died think of it
what a shattering night that was my mind cannot fully conceive it what a night a
large crowd marched through the streets toward the Border while the muffled
whales and cries of the bereaved Egyptians echoed through the
darkness the angel of death is another name for the destroying Angel God used
Angelic beings Heavenly Messengers es of some kind on numerous occasions to bring
judgment to Sinners on Earth this being is referred to as a destroying angel in
various Bible translations there is no clear biblical evidence that any one Angel was
designated as a destroying angel or an angel of death the most we can say is
that references to a destroying angel in the Bible or to a Heavenly being or
beings who came to destroy destroy those under God’s judgment instead of Destroyer some
translations use Angel of Death Or Death Angel in Hebrews
128 this being is referred to as the destroyer of the first born surprisingly
the original Hebrew text of Exodus 123 makes no Mention Of An Angel it
simply states that the Destroyer the spoiler or the one who causes harm will
slay Egypt’s firstborn Psalm 78 describes the plagues
in Egypts and summarizes them as God’s unleashing a band of destroying Angels
the Hebrew word for Angel is used here but it does not refer to a specific
Angel God also sent a destroying Angel a Heavenly messenger who brought
destruction to judge the Israelites as a result of David’s sin in numbering the
people from that morning until the end of time alloted the Lord sent a plague
on Israel and 70,000 people died from Dan to
basiba when the angel stretched out his hand to destroy Jerusalem the Lord
relented concerning the disaster and said to the angel who was afflicting the
people enough withdraw your hand the angel of the Lord was then at the
threshing floor of Aruna the jebusite when David saw the angel
striking down the people he said to the Lord I have sinned number eight
seraphim what are seraphim seraphim are Divine beings who were created by God to
serve and worship these six winged Angelic creatures are constantly present
at God’s Throne the prophet Propet Isaiah tells us that the seraphim are
six-winged fiery Angels who surround God as he sits upon his exalted throne and
to worship God continually Isaiah 6 the seraphim also ministers to the Lord and
serves as his agents of purification as demonstrated by their cleansing of
Isaiah’s sins before he began his prophetic Ministry the prophet Isaiah
tells us that the sarap are six-winged fiery Angels who surround God as he sits
upon his exalted throne and who worship God continually Isaiah 6 the seraphim
also ministers to the Lord and serves as his agents of purification as
demonstrated by their cleansing of Isaiah’s sins before he begins his prophetic Ministry the term sarim
appears in the Bible only in Isaiah chapter 6 Isaiah Sig is the only passage
in the Bible that uses the term seraphim which means the fiery ones Isaiah
describes his intense vision of God’s Heavenly Court in that biblical chapter
the prophet specifically saw God Seated on an exalted Throne surrounded by
flying angels known as sarim the implication is that these attendant
angels are enamored with God the seraphim appear to be humanlike as
Isaiah describes them as having faces feet hands and
voices Isaiah 2 Amplified Bible in the year that King Uzziah died
I saw in a vision the Lord sitting on a throne high and exalted with the train
of his Royal robe filling the most holy part of the temple above him seraphim
Heavenly beings stood each one had six wings with two Wings he covered his face
with two Wings he covered his feet and with two Wings he flew these angels may
appear to be burning flames the term sarap is derived from the Hebrew verb
sarup which means to literally burn with fire or more specifically to destroy
with fire the name may also allude to the seraphim’s function as purification
agents God created seraphim as sinless creatures but they are not to be
confused with God the significance of the seraphim’s close proximity to God
combined with their revelatory praise cannot be overstated when the seraphim
says the whole earth is full of his glory they are giving a firsthand
account of what they see from Heaven’s Apex we can see from the seraphim’s
supernatural perspective that God’s glory is infinite indescribably valuable
and so powerful that it cannot be contained in a single realm his glory
bursts through Heaven unfolds through the spiritual realm and overflows into
the entire Earth this revealed Glory allows us to catch a sacred glimpse of a
holy God to be holy means to be distinguished and revered this Thrice
invocation of the word holy to describe God’s sacred nature appears only twice
in the Bible both times by angels to someone transported in a vision to God’s
throne and if the pure and holy seraphim show such reverence in the presence of
the Lord how much more should we sinful creatures approach him the Angel’s
reverence for God should remind us of our own arrogance when we rush thoughtlessly into re
into his presence as we frequently do because we do not understand his
Holiness in Revelation 4 John’s vision of God’s Throne was similar to that of
Isaiah in reverence and awe of the Holy One living creatures gathered around the
throne Cried Out holy holy holy is the Lord God Almighty the seraphim also ministered to
God and serve as his agents of purification when Isaiah noticed the
Heavenly seraphim covering themselves before God to admit their unworthiness
before the Lord he became aware of his own mortal sinfulness and feared for his
life at that point one of the seraphim took a burning coal with tongs from the
altar brought it to Isaiah and placed it on his lips the Sara assured Isaiah that
his guilt is taken away and his sin atoned for as a result of this
act number nine demons demons are personal beings it is
clear that demons have the attributes of Personality both Christ and the demons
themselves use the first person pronouns I me and your when referring to one
another the Demonic Spirit within the possessed man not the man himself was
responsible for this demonic possession occurs when a demonic Spirit resides in a human body and
Exhibits its own personality through the host body’s personality fortune telling supposedly
harmless occult practices spiritism and other practices open the door to
deception for believers and real demonic danger for unbelievers people frequently become
involved in the occult or demonic things because something there appears to work
unfortunately it is not something at work but someone at work a demonic
Spirit we can say that demons want to occupy bodies for the same reason the
desecrator wants a spray can a body is a weapon they can use to attack God demons
also attack men because they despise the image of God in man so they try to Mar
that image by desecrating man and making him hideous demons have the identical
purpose in Christians which is to wreck the image of God but their tactics are
limited in regards to Christians demonic spirits were disarmed by Jesus’s work on
the cross though they can both trick Christians binding them with unbelief demons also have personal names
Jesus asked the demon what is your name Luke 3 30 Amplified Bible then
Jesus asked him what is your name and he answered Legion because many demons had
entered him Jesus most likely asked the name of the demon so that he could
understand the full scope of the problem knowing that man was filled with many demons not just one we should note that
Legion is not a name it was evasive threatening and intimidating number three speech
in communication speech demonstrates personality demons conversed with Christ
and Christ spoke with the demons They begged him not to send them into the abyss the demons who inhabited this man
did not want to be imprisoned in the abyss which is the bottomless pit described in Revelations
1 it appeared to be a place of confinement for certain demonic spirits
demons exercised will and appealing to to Christ not to cast them into the abyss but to permit them to enter the
swine Christ’s authority to them is essentially a demand of his will over
theirs an order they had to obey demons have
intelligence demons were aware of the identity of the Lord Jesus one of them
acknowledged Paul and the ministry he was leading to a slave girl the spirit
also allowed her to determine confidential information through Fortune telling or
divination acts 1 16-17 New American Standard Bible it
happened that as we were going to the place of prayer a slave woman who had a
spirit of divination met us who was bringing great profit to her Masters by
fortune telling she followed Paul and DUS and cried out repeatedly saying
these men are Bond Servants of the most high God who are proclaiming to you a
way of Salvation demons are Spirit beings demons are disembodied Spirits
they are utterly devoid of any kind of material shape whatsoever demons belong to the spirit
world and their only manifestation is the problems they cause some are eviler
than others the Bible speaks of grades of wickedness among the demons Jesus
said Jesus was dying driving out a demon when the demon left the word of God
tells us that though Satan had bound people Jesus revealed his authority by
conquering his evil forces freeing captives and dividing Satan’s
plunder number 10 Lucifer a personality referred to as
Lucifer appears in Isaiah 14 Lucifer’s Latin root means one who
brings light while the Hebrew translation is morning star Lucifer was
depicted as a radiant shining and Majestic being in any language he was a
high ranking Angel Lucifer was one of the God’s main angels and Michael and
Gabriel in God’s Heavenly hosts however at some point Lucifer made a grave error
he challenged God Luke 18 he said to them I watched Satan fall
from Heaven like a flash of lightning as a master of slander or
taale bearing he continues to seek to undermine various forms of authority
that God has established in both the church and the world when Lucifer was
cast out of Heaven he did not stop his Rebellion but he continued it by setting
up a kingdom of his own in opposition to God’s Kingdom om Lucifer’s heart was
lifted up in Pride because of his Beauty and this was the reason that he was cast
out of the Mountain of God what was Lucifer’s initial motivation what was the original sin
Pride the original sin was done in heaven not on Earth it wasn’t alcohol
intoxication it wasn’t adultery it wasn’t even lying it was a matter of
Pride it is still the most lethal of all sins many churchgoers would never dream
of committing adultery or getting drunk but they are readily seduced into Pride
without recognizing how harmful it is Lucifer was so lovely that he got proud
of himself his pride finalized the transformation from Lucifer to Satan God
gave Lucifer his Power Authority Beauty and wisdom all those were gift gifts
from God yet Lucifer’s wrong attitude turned them into instruments for his own
destruction I am shocked to realize that men and women called and equipped by God
are still today making the same tragic error that Lucifer made in Isaiah 1
12-15 the prophet analyzes the motive behind Lucifer’s Rebellion Lucifer’s
desire was to be on the same footing with God God he imagined himself to be so intelligent beautiful and Majestic
that he allegedly thought to himself I could be God according to scripture
Lucifer undermined the Loyalty of onethird of God’s angels and lured them
into his rebellion and fall biblical Scholars generally agree that Lucifer
was in charge of orchestrating Heaven’s worship he was a musical master who
continues to ize music and enchant people to this day Lucifer had been in
charge of God’s sanctuary in heaven he was in charge of the religious Services
he was the Cherub who guarded the location where God’s presence showed itself he was in charge of the music he
