Sanusi Lamido Sanusi Reinstated As Emir of Kano

Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Kano State Governor, has announced the reinstatement of Muhammadu Sanusi, an ex-governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), as the Emir of Kano.

Yusuf revealed this in a tweet on Thursday evening.

“After signing the new Kano emirate council law at Government House, Kano, today, I hereby announce the reinstatement of HRH Muhammadu Sanusi II as the Emir of Kano State,” he tweeted.

The governor had earlier signed a new bill invalidating the division of Kano into five emirates into law.
