50-year-old chief with four wives arrested for allegedly raping 14-year-old girl in Delta

The police in Delta state has arrested a 50-year-old community chief and for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl at Ebedei Ukwuole, in Ukwuani local government area of the state. Detectives from Umutu police station arrested the chief, who has four wives, after he earlier allegedly assaulted the Junior Secondary School class one student (name withheld) twice. According to the Nigerian Tribune, the secret came out when the victim opened up to her mother who noticed the daughter was bleeding excessively. Investigation revealed that the Chief, a father of several children, allegedly gave the girl N50.00 before luring her to an uncompleted building. It was gathered that the man had allegedly defiled the girl twice and allegedly threatened to kill her if she disclosed his illicit act to anyone. The time, he raped her, he did it in an uncompleted building.
